The Penthouse: War in Life is a top Korean Drama with 3 seasons. Nothing can defeat the first season but we cannot deny Season 2 and Season 3 are doing well. This drama highlights how bad a rich can be and the scandals around them which make the audience angry. Interestingly, this drama is focused around a Penthouse known as Hera Palace. 

Many of us are asking whether Hera Palace is real or not.

It was actually a computer graphic designed placed in the richest neighbourhood, Samseong Dong, Gangnam Gu. The actual filming done in luxurious apartment in Paju

2. Why Hera?

Hera is a Greek Goddess of women, marriage and child birth. It is suitable as the story centred around how mothers protect their child or telling the world they might do anything for their children.

3. Symbolic

The story or thrilled event always occurs around Hera Palace. This is one of the way to make strong symbols and make us remember the story.

4. Deleted Scenes

Real collapsed building was used as a scene to portray the fall of Hera Palace. Many protest request to delete the scene as it brings humility to real victims.

5. Facilities

In the film, Hera palace has 100 floors, shops, swimming pools, gym, tuition centre, hall and security guards.

6. Differences

The statue shown in the drama is different from the opening scenes.

NEW WORLD : KOREAN REALITY - NETFLIX

We have heard about Runningman and it is world phenomena. Recently, Netflix has come out with their own Reality Programme in Korea by having top casts such as Jo Bo Ah, Eun Ji Won, Lee Seung Gi, Exo Kai, Kim Hee Chul and Park Na Rae.

The show has its own concept and it is quite interesting. It shows how 6 participants make money in the New World. Even though it is not as good as Runningman, it still has its own unique materials. The participants are really suitable for reality show.

The comedy of the participants is quite genuine even though we know certain lines are scripted. What is reality show, if it is not scripted? So, overall another reality show that will make you feel good will definitely will be New World. New World gained 7.5/10 Moview Star.

Kim Jong Hyun was found dead !

Lead singer of the teen kpop Shinee group was found dead in his apartment. Police officials reported that Kim Jong Hyun, 27 was found unconscious in his apartment and passed away in the hospital on 18th December 2017 around 6.30pm.

Jong Hyun's sister launched a police report after Jong Hyun left a suicidal message stating that:

   “It’s been really hard for me until now.               Please let me go,and tell me I’ve worked hard, last good bye.”

Police arrived at Kim’s apartment after receiving an emergency call from his sister, according to South Korean media. The singer was taken to a nearby hospital and was later pronounced dead, police said.

The case was handled as a suicidal case because it was suspected that Jong Hyun committed suicide by burning coal briquette a type of carbon monoxide that can kill if someone inhale it.

Kim Jonghyun was the main vocalist of Shinee and the group released their debut album in 2008 and most of their songs hit the Japanese market. All of their Korean albums except their debut have topped the charts in their home country. Shinee is a really famous group and Jong Hyun also recently debuted as a solo artist.

Jong Hyun is a great lost for Kpop Industry and Miss I wishes deepest condolences to Jong Hyun's family, we have lost a great entertainer and a real hero.

Taeyeon Involved in a Car Accident! : K-TALK

GANGNAM:  On 28th November around 8.00 pm, Taeyeon Girl's Generation suffered a car accident. A witness stated that Taeyeon's Mercedes Benz hit a taxi and due to the strong hit, the taxi crushed an Audi car in front of it.

Taeyeon had a chest pain and was brought into the nearby hospital with an ambulance. Both Audi and taxi drivers were brought into the hospital as well.

The police are currently investigating the taxi driver and witnesses of the car accident. Taeyeon is getting well and the fans are required not to be panic.

Siwon's Dog Killed a Woman

Choi Si Won's family pet, Bugsy bite a woman and lead her to death. Bugsy is a French bulldog was not on leash attacked a 53 old local businesswoman.

The businesswoman identified as Kim passed away on 6 October because of sepsis. Si won apologized for this issue but a simple sorry will not solve this huge mistake. Netizens are forcing Si Won to drop out from his new drama “Revolutionary Love” .Some even commented 'drop Si Won or stop filming the drama.' The decision was not made yet.

The issue will be resolved as the victim's family agreed to forgive Si Won and not to take any legal action. Yet, the netizens were disappointed because Choi's family did not take care of their dog.

K-TALK: Kim Soo Hyun and Sulli Sex Scene Wasted!

‘Real 2017’ a garbage Korean movie acted by Kim Soo Hyun and Sulli. It was labeled as garbage by worldwide viewers because of the sex scene involved. Sulli went naked for this movie and literally had sex with Kim Soo Hyun.  That is too much for a girl that always portrayed as cute and innocent. It was marked as 19+ movie.

Koreaboo indicates that a Youtube Movie Review Channel stated that it is the worst movie of the decade.

This is not the first time top Korean actors and actresses are acting as prostitute and gigolo. It might be harsh but it is true. They might call it as professional but Asians call it differently. Asian should never follow the westerns style as we are much more civilized. Even today Hollywood movie is lack of sex scene. They are getting better. 

Directors are trying to use sex scenes to promote the film but if the actors try to say ‘no’, such movie will not been released.There is no one good reason for Kim Soo Hyun to act such film. He is not even dare to talk about the sex scene and now he is shedding tears in public! Kim Soo Hyun should be a good example because kids love him too while Sulli is no longer girl’s aspiration. Hope it will be a good lesson for Korean actors and directors to produce a good moral film with good stories and not depending on sex or even kissing scene to be a top movie.

K-TALK: G- Dragon is coming to Malaysia

The leader of South Korea top group Bigbang; G-Dragon will be coming to Kuala Lumpur on September 16 as part of his world tour.

      The tour started on 10 Jun covers cities around Asia, Oceania and North America. The cities list will be announced later.

      Even though, Malaysia was not initially among his stops, IME Malaysia announced his concert will be held at Stadium Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur.

      G-Dragon is one of the richest entertainment icons and always celebrated as a fashion star. GD rose to fame in mid 20s and has written 23 top hit songs for himself and Bigbang’s members. Recently, Forbes listed him as most influential under 30 in Asia.

YG Entertainment comes under fire once again after one of the company members, T.O.P or Choi Seung Hyun was arrested because he smoked marijuana. T.O.P was charged because he abused drug before he enlisted for the military. Now he is under investigation.

Previously, G-Dragon was charged with the same case last year but he claimed to accept an offered cigarette from a fan in Japan during a party, but after realizing it was not a normal cigarette, he threw it away. Because he was not charged, he did not lose his popularity and remained in his fan’s heart.

DRAMA INTRO

Yong-Pal is a Korean drama series aired on SBS from August 5 to October 1, 2015 for 18 episodes. Daesang winner Joo Won and top actress Kim Tae Hee together with Chae Jung An and Jo Hyun Jae acted in this series. The meaning of Yong Pal is ‘Skilled Quack’.

SUMMARY

Joo Won is a skilled resident on a big hospital. Unfortunately, to cure his sick sister, he needs a lot of money. Due to that, he has to do house calls for gangsters and that is how he was known as Yong Pal.

Because of his well-known skills, he was asked to serve the VIPs and he found Kim Tae Hee who is in trouble. Kim Tae Hee troubled by her step brother due to heir problems. Jo Hyun Jae (step brother) wants to be the chairman of Hansan Group. Joo Woon cured Kim Tae Hee and both of them fights Jo Hyun Jae for the throne.

CHARACTERS

Being doctor is not something new for Joo Woon. With innocent, nerd and dull face, Joo Woon brought the character well to show humbleness and poor village boy character.

No much credict for Kim Tae Hee because she just did a normal character with a dull expression and no much aegyo. Her character is not that challenging but she acted well.

Miss I believe Jo Hyun Jae had most difficult time because he need to change his personality from protagonist to antagonist. The handsome hero finally acted a cruel character. His handsome look and smile really helped him to act well as a evil brother.

Chae Jung An’s character really suits her. Her arrogant and charismatic acting was original.

Choi Min's short appearance also really shows he is a best romantic actor.

Jo Bok Rae just handsome as a doctor. (No much role).

CRITICISM

The story is really interesting because of a different plot. Thinking of making house calls without hospital facilities is really interesting and novel. Romance between Joo Woon and Kim Tae Hae is really moderate and good but much kiss scenes. Should reduce the kiss scenes, we should pity the actors as they have rights on their body as well. Lacking in this drama is the flashback keeps repeating. The same scenes are repeated again and again to show the flashback. Overall excellent drama which gains 7.2 Miss I star.
